Alex is in full time private practice in Ballarat. He has a passion for working with individuals, families, and couples, with the aim of assisting them in discovering practical solutions to the concerns they bring to therapy. Although people typically come to therapy with “problems”, they also bring individual strengths. Alex seeks to enhance these strengths by providing strategies to work towards resolving any presenting issues.

Alex is experienced in working with people across a wide range of issues that are commonly brought to therapy. His aim is to apply assessment and treatment techniques, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, that have received support from extensive research in Clinical Psychology.

Alex’s extensive training in Clinical Psychology is combined with experience working within both public and private mental health settings in New Zealand, New South Wales and Victoria.  Additionally, he has taught both undergraduate and graduate level tertiary students at the University of Canterbury (New Zealand).

Alex undertook his training in the rigorous Clinical Psychology programme at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. His qualifications include a Master of Science (Hons.), Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology, Certificate in Criminal Justice Psychology, and a Bachelor of Commerce.

Alex is a Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor in Clinical Psychology and welcomes inquiries relating to Supervision

  • Monday to Thursday  –  9am to 5pm (last appointment 4pm)
  • Friday  –   9am to 12pm (last appointment 11am)
